DeSoto Refuge Now Open

Alert: After being mostly closed due to flooding, the majority of the refuge is now open back up to the public. DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge - including the visitor center – is reopened to public use. The following limitations will be in effect until conditions improve:

-All Boat Ramps are Closed
-Access to the Refuge is Via Highway 30 - The South Entrance Remains Closed
-Some Hiking Trails Remain Partially Flooded
-The East Gravel Road is Closed to Vehicles – Only Open to Foot Traffic
-The Missouri River Pullout is Closed

Due to the recent flooding and the resulting damage to refuge roadways and infrastructure, Boyer Chute National Wildlife Refuge remains CLOSED to all public use.
