Call the refuge at 850-925-6121 to register. Registrations cannot be taken more than 30 days before an event AND no more than 2 names can be accepted at one time.


New - Two levels of the popular Tots on Trails (ToTs). Registration is required and registration opens one month prior to each activity.
Level 1 is for children 18 to 35 months old; Level 2 is for children 3 to 4 years old.

APRIL

5 — Night Prowl with Scott Davis. Meet at the Visitor's Center parking lot at 7 p.m. some walking involved. Dress for the weather; bug spray, and a headlamp with a red light are recommended. Call (850)925-6121 to reserve a place.

5 & 6 — St. Marks Lighthouse tours 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Civil War and CCC exhibits, $2 entrance fee.

5 & 7 — Youth Spring Gobbler Hunt, Port Leon Area will be CLOSED to hikers.

10 — Tots on Trails for ages 18 to 35 months, 11 a.m. to Noon. Registration required, call (850)925-6121.

11 — Tots on Trails for ages 3 to 4 years, 11 a.m. to Noon. Registration required, call (850)925-6121.

14 — Bird and Nature Tour with Matt and Cyndi Johnstone. 9 a.m. to Noon p.m. Meet in the Visitors Center parking lot. Registration required, call (850)925-6121. Limit 25.

14 — Second Sunday at the Refuge, Wakulla — Mysterious Waters, Dr. Jim Dunbar, Aucilla Research Institute. For more than 14,500 years, Wakulla Springs has attracted people to its mysterious waters. Archaeological testing by ARI began in 2015. The presentation provides an update about the discoveries and the scientific protocols that have been used.

20 — St. Marks NWR Photo Club meeting will be held at Maclay Gardens State Park, 3540 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee. Meet at the last parking area at 9:00 a.m.

27 — Extremely Early Birding tour with Don Morrow from 6:15 to 9:15 a.m. Meet outside the Visitors Center. Limit 9; call (850)925-6121 to reserve a seat.

27 - Friends of St. Marks Wildlife Refuge Annual Meeting, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Education building. The Friends will provide desserts. Special Guest Speaker. Call (850)925-6121 to signup.

MAY

3 & 4 — St. Marks Lighthouse tours 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Civil War and CCC exhibits, $2 entrance fee.

4 — Family Fishing Day! 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. come catch some catfish with us. Follow signs along Lighthouse road to the parking area. A tram is available to take you to the site.

12 — Second Sundae at the Refuge — Ice Cream Social. It's Mothers Day. Bring your mom, meet the Friends of St. Marks Refuge, and enjoy ice cream with all the fixins. 2 to 4 p.m. in the Education building. Call (850)925-6121 to signup.

18 St. Marks NWR Photo Club meeting will be held at Wakulla Springs State Park, 465 Park Drive, Crawfordville time to be determined. This is the Photo Club’s annual picnic.

JUNE

20-21 — Jr. Refuge Ranger Summer Camp, 9 am - 1 pm, K - 1st grade

26-28 — Jr. Refuge Ranger Summer Camp, 9 am - 3 pm, 5th - 7th grade
