Fall Family Fair - 2018

Black bear sow and cubs / Refuge remote wildlife camera, USFWS Join us at Sevilleta National Wildlife for a variety of Family activities and a youth art Award Ceremony, during our Fall Family Fair! Saturday, November 3 from 1-4 pm. The Event is Free, and for the entire Family! No Reservations are required for any of the afternoon's activities.

The Refuge will host: live animals, archery, animal masks, hands-on crafts and games, paint a petroglyph, quail call, nature talks, and 3 different hikes of varying levels. There will also be Live music and refreshments. An Award Ceremony for the “Drawn to Sevilleta” poster art contest, for kindergarten to fifth grade students of the Belen and Socorro school districts will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. This annual contest encourages young, local students to be more engaged in the outdoors through nature related art. For more information, please call: 505-864-4021. Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge is located off of I-25, at Exit 169. Parking will be available and a shuttle service will be provided to assist in transportation from the parking areas, to the Events activities.
