Wonderful Woodpeckers Walk

Join refuge volunteers for a FREE, guided bird walk at Boy Scout Road
Boardwalk at Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge. Loaner binoculars are available upon request — Email Sandi Wicklund at this link to reserve a pair.

Directions to Boy Scout Road Interpretive Boardwalk:

From Slidell, LA – Take 190 W to Transmitter Rd. Turn left onto Transmitter Rd., road ends at Paquet Rd. (approximately 2 miles). Turn right onto Paquet Rd., travel about 1.1 miles then turn left onto Boy Scout Rd. Parking lot for boardwalk will be on the right.

From Mandeville, LA – Take 190 E to Transmitter Rd. Turn right onto Transmitter Rd., road ends at Paquet Rd. (approximately 2 miles). Turn right onto Paquet Rd., travel about 1.1 miles then turn left onto Boy Scout Rd. The parking lot for boardwalk will be on the right.
