Refuge Closed Due to Hurricane Irma

The Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge & All Visitor Facilities To CLOSE In Preparation For Hurricane Irma.


REFUGE CLOSURE ALERT

Effective at 5:00 am Friday morning, September 8th, Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge and all visitor facilities will be closed in preparation for the landfall of Hurricane Irma. Refuge closures include all hiking trails, boat ramps, fishing access, and all other recreational use for the Headquarters area on Lee Road, 20-mile Bend, and Hillsboro Boat Ramp areas.

Once a closure is in effect, it will remain in place until the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service assesses storm damage or the threat of Hurricane Irma has passed.
