Partial Closure of Loess Bluffs NWR Auto Tour

Starting Tuesday, May 30, 2017 after Memorial Day, the Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) Auto Tour will be partially closed for water control structure replacement under the road in Pelican Pool on the south portion of the refuge. Visitors will still be able to travel south to the Eagle Pool/Pelican Pool Levee Kiosk but will need to turn around. The Wild Goose Auto Tour is typically one-way in a clockwise direction and visitors will be allowed to drive around the Auto Tour in a counterclockwise direction until construction is completed. Visitors will be able to travel in a counterclockwise direction from the Squaw Creek bridge as well but will need to turn around on the south end. Visitors are reminded to be cautious and courteous to other drivers while passing by each other on the Auto Tour. The Auto Tour will re-open after construction is completed and will be announced.
