Bowdoin NWR is located in north central Montana, 7 miles east of the town of Malta, along Old U.S. Highway 2. Easiest route is from U.S. Highway 2, watch for a brown and white Refuge directional sign just east of Malta on U.S. Highway 2. Turn right after this sign and follow the paved road (old U.S. Highway 2) 6 miles to the Refuge entrance.

Refuge Hours: 
The refuge is open for public use from sunrise to sunset, except during hunting season when hunters are allowed reasonable time to access hunting areas when arriving before dawn and when leaving after dusk.  The entrance gate opens automatically at sunrise and closes at sunset.
