Two Rivers National Wildlife Refuge and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Pere Marquette State Park will hold the 22nd annual Two Rivers Family Fishing Fair from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at the Jersey County Fairgrounds/American Legion Grounds located on U.S. Rt. 67, north of Jerseyville, Illinois.
This free event teaches children and their families about the sport of fishing and being a responsible angler.
More than 25 different educational stations teach young people to preserve natural resources and promote conservation. At these stations children will have the opportunity to learn proper casting, fish identification, boating safety and how to tie a simple fisherman’s knot and prepare fish to eat.
