Wildlife Photography is becoming more and more popular around the nation, and the Refuge is an excellent place to take photos. With access to the auto tour route every day of the year, plus a few trails and photography blinds or docks, there are many places to get that great snapshot.

Bear River has several priority bird species dependent on the wetland habitats of the Refuge and the Great Salt Lake such as Cinnamon teal, White-faced ibis and Franklin's gulls.
