2011 Career Discovery Internship Program

Brittany Forslind

I grew up Nashua, New Hampshire. Most of my experience with nature has been by running and biking outside. I went camping once with a friend in Maine and had a blast. My primary experience with nature have been through documentaries on Discovery and National Geographic.

I am currently enrolled at Clark University with a major in Biology and concentrating in Evolution and Ecology. My first year of college, I participated in Cross Country and Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corp. In my spare time, I like to draw, run, and bike.

I applied for the CDIP internship because the jobs that CDIP was offering were within my career field of interest. I hope to gain a better understanding of what kind of job I would like in the future by working with the staff and learning as much as I can about other studies within wildlife at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. I am interested in studying animal behavior and conservation. Any job that requires being outside for a majority of the time would be ideal.
