Hosted by the USFWS AADAP Program, the 29th Annual Aquaculture Drug Approval Coordination Workshop will take place in Atlantic Beach, NC from March 26th- 27th, 2023. For those that are unable to join us in-person this year, we are providing the option to tune in to the Workshop remotely. Topics to be discussed include aquaculture drug approval research and the progress of associated efforts. Please contact Julie Schroeter with any workshop-related questions.

We anticipate this year’s attendance to include representatives from numerous federal, state, tribal, and private partners, as well as drug company sponsors, university researchers, and other entities involved in aquatic animal drug approval efforts. In addition, several representatives from FDA’s Center for Veterinary Medicine are slated to attend.
This year's Aquaculture Drug Approval Coordination Workshop will also be hosted back to back with the 46th Annual Eastern Fish Health Workshop, which will take place from March 27th-31th, 2023. A small block of rooms has been reserved at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Atlantic Beach Oceanfront (Workshop location) at the rate of $129 per night. Reservations must be made by February 24th, 2023 to secure this discounted rate. There are several other nearby hotels available if you are not able to reserve a room at the DoubleTree. Travel:
The closest major airport to the Workshop hotel is the Wilmington International Airport (120 min away). There are also smaller regional airports, with the closest being the Coastal Carolina Regional Airport (approx. 50 min away). Rental cars are available at all airports.
Registration:
Registration cost is $120 for the in-person option and includes all Workshop presentation sessions, catered snacks and lunch, and the Sunday night Welcome Social. Registration for the virtual option is $60 and includes access to the Workshop presentation sessions as well as the ability to interact with other Workshop attendees during discussion time. Considering giving a presentation at this year’s Workshop? We’re looking for folks to present on any of the following (or related) topics: aquaculture drugs research (antimicrobials, parasiticides, anesthetics, spawning aids, and marking agents), disease models, and new, up-and-coming drugs. If you’re interested in presenting, please contact Shane Ramee by January 27th, 2023 with the topic and length of your presentation.
