Caption: Don't miss it! You have two upcoming opportunities to learn more about the Draft Water Management Plan and Environmental Assessment for Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge and ask questions.

The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service will hold two, hour-long virtual informational sessions. The sessions will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at 1 p.m. ET and Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at 7 p.m. ET.

Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge is one of nine national wildlife refuges in the Coastal North Carolina National Wildlife Refuges Complex.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) NOTICE

During the current public health emergency, whenever possible, outdoor recreation sites at national wildlife refuges will remain open to the public.

For local conditions review the information on refuge websites and/or call ahead. At this time, the Manteo Office for the Coastal NC National Wildlife Refuges Complex is staffed for emergency calls and general information: 252-473-1131 Ext 224. Or you may email alligator_river@fws.gov for information about all refuges in eastern North Carolina.

If visiting one of our refuges, please ensure public health and safety by following guidance from the CDC and state and local public health authorities. You can do this by maintaining social distancing, avoiding overcrowding and exercising good hygiene.
