Have you spotted any five-lined skinks? Juveniles have a beautiful blue tail! They spend most of their time on the ground, hiding out in wooded areas, but can sometimes be spotted basking in the sun.
No place like home
Groundhogs are often spotted at Illinois River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge Complex. In fact, records indicate that groundhogs have been living under the office building for nearly 50 years. Talk about great habitat!
