Potting bare-stem trees at Turnbull NWR during Earth Fest with nonprofit partners The Lands Council.

This event was largely focused on potting bare-stem trees to be grown out in the nursery, but it also involved tree planting and some removal of fencing and tree caging from previous plantings. This year’s event was the first time that other organizations and agencies came and hosted booths, which provided much needed distraction for participants when they needed a break. The event saw over 1,000 trees potted and several hundred planted.
