Petri Dish

Petri dish filled with agar and divided into thirds.  Each third has a culture growing in it.

Petri Dish

Fish health biologists use a petri dish filled with agar to grow and identify different bacterial cultures taken from fish. Biologists than test these cultures using different antibiotics to check which antibiotic will be most effective in treating a specific illness within a fish population.
