Kids Fishing Day

The Makah National Fish Hatchery will be hosting a free kids fishing event on Saturday, June 2nd from 10:00am to 2:00pm. This event is in partnership with the Makah Tribe and other several community sponsors. In addition to trout fishing, there will be several activities including: Safe archery, arts & crafts, casting games and raffle prizes.
Recent Fish Returns
As of March 23, 2017, 342 adult Winter Steelhead have returned to Makah NFH Weir on Tsoo Yess River.
As of March 23, 2017, 1,899 adult Coho have returned to Makah NFH Weir on Tsoo Yess River.
As of March 23, 2017, 3,013 adult Fall Chinook have returned to Makah NFH Weir Tsoo Yess River.

Visit the Makah Museum!
When visiting the Makah NFH, be sure to stop by to tour the Makah Museum. This museum displays and interprets a host of artifacts, including 300-500 year old pieces recovered from the Ozette Archealogical Site. A great way to learn a little more about the culture that our hatchery strives to support.
