Fishery Conservation and Management Act

The Fishery Conservation and Management Act  (Magnuson-Stevens Act) authorizes the conservation and management of the fishery resources found within the Exclusive Economic Zone of the United States, including anadromous species, through eight Regional Fishery Management Councils. Establishes the Service as a nonvoting member of the Councils.
