Cyber Services Branch

Monitors the network for malicious activity, including but not limited to Personally Identifiable Information (PII) breaches, evidence of malware, and suspicious intrusion attempts. This branch drives incident response and works closely with personnel on the DOI Computer Incident Response Center (CIRC) Team to investigate, report, and remediate suspected security incidents. This branch also evaluates current network security measures and recommends enhancements if needed, and is responsible for designing and implementing network security devices including firewalls. The branch also performs vulnerability assessments and distributes reports to key stakeholders and produces data showing vulnerability remediation effectiveness that can be used by management to improve vulnerability processes.
