Hurricane Sandy recovery project completed April 2014

This project repaired an HVAC system at the refuge supported by federal funding from the Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief Act.

Project Summary

This project will repair a heating, ventilation and air conditioning system at the Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge that was damaged as a result of Hurricane Sandy.

Additional Details

Hurricane Sandy caused damage to numerous refuge buildings that are utilized daily by both refuge staff and visitors. Maintaining the integrity and safety of these structures is a priority for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
