Additional Details

Hurricane Sandy dumped up to three feet of snow at the refuge, burying visitor facilities and refuge staff living quarters, damaging trails and leaving downed trees and debris strewn across refuge land. Downed trees and debris will be removed utilizing refuge staff complemented by partner/volunteer organizations.
