Participants who have attended one of the 20-day sessions or one of the week-long workshops come from federal agencies (BIA, BLM, DOD, NPS, US Fish & Wildlife Service, and US Forest Service); state agencies; conservation organizations; community fire departments; private contractors; and international agencies.
Through 2014, US participants hail from 49 States + Puerto Rico, Commonwealth of Northern Marianas (Saipan) and Washington, DC: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
