Ohio Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program Assists University on Solar Array Pollinator Project
Midwest Region, October 24, 2018
Print Friendly Version

The US Fish and Wildlife Service, Partners for Fish and Wildlife program is assisting a local University to create pollinator habitat in and around a newly installed solar array. The University Sustainability Director is working the Service biologists and the Ohio Pollinator Habitat Initiative to create high value pollinator habitat between the rows of solar panels, as well as around the field. The project will not only reduce the carbon footprint of the University but will also provide critical host and nectar plants for native pollinators.
