Walk for the Wild with Friends of Mashpee NWR

Join the Friends of Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge, the Fish and Wildlife Service, and members of our community at the Attaquin Park, Mashpee MA for the Walk for the Wild 5K challenge, 11 a.m. 1 p.m., Sunday, October 13. This self guided walk will take you approximately 2 hours. Park and register at Attaquin Park, and then board a shuttle to the beginning of the self-guided 5K walk. You will travel along an ancient trail once used by the Wampanoag Tribe and later used as a cart way to transport hay. As you walk along the trail, watch for Infographics and QR codes to learn interesting information along the way. You may want to load the free app iNaturalist on your iphone to help you identify the sights and sounds along the way. If walking as a group, carpooling is recommended. Wearing or is suggested. At the end of the walk, you will cross the finish line at the Naukabout Brewery where we will have a celebration for all ages!
