Join the Friends of Aransas National Wildlife Refuge and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for the Walk for the Wild 5k challenge starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, October 19 at the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center.
There are 2 ways to participate:
- Join fellow Friends at the Refuge's Visitor Center on Saturday, October 19 at 8:00AM for a 5K walk, run, or bike event. The walk portion of the challenge will be guided by a naturalist, and all activities will take place on accessible refuge roads. Stay afterwards and participate in our annual Refuge Day Celebration, a free, family-friendly festival with wildlife-related activities, crafts, and games.
- If you can't make it on the 19th, stop by the Visitor Center anytime between October 12 and 19, pick up a map, and walk/run/bike 5k on your own!
