Summer Science; Reptiles on the Refuge

Summer Science; Reptiles on the Refuge: Aug. 2, 2023, 9 am – 1 pm; Grades 3-5.

Campers will learn about native reptiles found on the refuge and what makes a reptile a reptile.

Applications for Jr. Refuge Ranger Camp are now available at the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center or on this website. From the website, find the camp you are interested in, click that camp to go to the application form, fill it out, and send it via email, to the address listed on the application, or mail it or drop it off in person at the visitor center.

Four camps will be offered this year. 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙗𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙪𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙗𝙮 4 𝙥𝙢 𝙤𝙣 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑. A random drawing will take place to select participants from each pool of applicants. Those drawn will be notified by email or phone. If drawn for a camp there is a non-refundable $25 registration/camp fee, which will be due prior to the camp date. Maximum of 10 participants per camp. Campers will need to bring a bag lunch and a refillable water bottle to camp, snacks will be provided. Must wear closed toe shoes.
