Photography 101 Workshop

Come celebrate with us! We will soon be celebrating 119 years since President Theodore Roosevelt signed an executive order on March 14, 1903 to establish Pelican Island in Florida as the first Federal Bird Reservation, the initial designation that now makes up a network of over 600 wildlife refuges, conservation areas, and wetland management districts.

To celebrate the beauty of national wildlife refuges, you are invited to join local photographer and refuge volunteer Johnny Bradley and refuge staff on a Nature Photography 101 workshop being held at San Diego National Wildlife Refuge on March 12 and 13. Act quick, we only have space for 10 people on Saturday, March 12 and 10 people for Sunday, March 13. Be prepared to walk about 4 miles round trip on mostly flat trails with a possibility of one trail with a slight incline. Don’t have a DSLR camera? We will have a few for you borrow but please let us know in advance if you need one. We will be meeting at the new refuge parking lot that connects to the Sweetwater Interp Loop at 12155 Campo Rd, El Cajon, CA 92019.

Email Park Ranger Nancy Fernandez at Nancy_fernandez@fws.gov to save your spot or if you have any questions.
