How to Help Birds

Join us February 10 - 11 for How To Help Birds, a presentation and walk featuring Hannah Buschert and Erik Ostrander. Hannah and Erik are passionate birders and producers of the Podcast “Gobirding.” During the evening presentation they will talk about how we can help birds conquer challenges. The following morning they will lead a bird walk at Willapa National Wildlife Refuge.

Bring your binoculars and join Hannah and Erik as they walk along South Bay Trail and Tarlatt Slough to look and listen for birds.  These easy .6 mile trails wind through grasslands, coastal forests, freshwater and estuary wetland habitats and offer unparalleled views of Willapa Bay. The overlook at the end of the trail is a great place to see large flocks of migratory waterfowl and shorebirds, as well as bald eagles.
