Join San Diego Bird Alliance as we celebrate Dia de Muertos with habitat restoration! We will be planting native milkweed to restore habitat for Monarch Butterflies.
We will go on a short nature walk to connect with the land and contribute to community science using iNaturalist, and enhance the habitat for monarch butterflies through a massive planting event - 200 young plants will be put in the ground!
All supplies will be provided including tools, gloves, water and snacks, but come prepared in a hat and closed-toe shoes and bring a reusable water bottle.
The planting location is within the Otay Valley Regional Park. Detailed directions will be emailed after registration.
