City Nature Challenge BioBlitz

Participate in a City Nature Challenge BioBlitz at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge!  Roam the trails using the iNaturalist app to take pictures of plants, wildlife and fungi. These observations are a part of an annual, global effort to document wildlife near and in urban areas. The 2023 City Nature Challenge will take place Friday, April 28 through May 1.

Not sure how to use iNaturalist? No problem! Volunteers will be located at the Oak Savanna Learning Center on Saturday, April 29 from 10 am to 2 pm to assist with any questions. Complete the photo capture game, found at the volunteer table, to get a Sherburne sticker! For more help with iNaturalist, watch this iNaturalist Workshop video.

Registration not required.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is committed to providing access to these events for all participants. Please direct all requests for special accommodation to Refuge Headquarters: 763‐389‐3323, sherburne@fws.gov, or TTY 800‐877‐8339 at least two weeks before the event.
