The month of March is Mes CHamoru and the Guam National Wildlife Refuge – Ritidian Unit is celebrating their 3rd annual Ha’ånen Litekyan (Ritidian Day)! Come and celebrate with us!
Children ages seven to 17-years-old can participate in a free youth fishing clinic. Visitors will also learn about CHamoru culture and heritage through displays and tours as well as how to be environmental steward to Guam's natural resources.
The free youth fishing clinic is open to children ages seven to 17-years-old. Participants in the fishing clinic will practice traditional fishing such as talaya net throwing, rod and reel fishing, making a fishing lure, and learn about sustainable fishing. Registration for the fishing clinic is limited to the first thirty youths that are pre-registered by their parents and/or guardians.
To register, parents and/or guardians of workshop participants must fill out the Ha'anen Litekyan Registration Form & Waiver.
