Moonshine, gunfights, and train wrecks—the tale of how Canaan Valley came to be as we know it today is filled with many sensational stories. Join Ranger JJ for this guided history walk to celebrate National Wildlife Refuge Week and learn about some of the people who shaped the history of the valley and how the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge was formed.
The walk takes place along the Freeland Boardwalk Trail, a 0.5-mile accessible boardwalk loop.
