Borrow our snowshoes, or bring your own, and join us for this free, fun-filled, drop-in event on Saturday, February 8 from 1 pm to 4 pm! The refuge will provide adult and child size snowshoes to use while exploring the winter landscape. Snowshoeing is easy to learn and our refuge volunteers will assist you. Inside the Oak Savanna Learning Center you will can get an up close look at animal artifacts including pelts, shells and taxidermy and work on a nature craft to take home!
If there is less than 4 inches of snow, the event will become an Afternoon Walk.
Accessibility:
Restrooms and water fountains will be available outside the Oak Savanna Learning Center building.
