About Us

The Biological Monitoring Team (BMT) assists the Regional Refuge Biologists in Regions 3 and 5 by addressing biological technical assistance needs. The BMT works to improve biological inventory and monitoring tools for refuges and assists with planning and implementing adaptive management. The BMT is stationed in La Crosse, Wisconsin, co-located with the USGS Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center.
