Regional Permit Contacts

We issue permits for the legal use of migratory birds

To promote faster, more efficient processing of your permit, we encourage you to utilize our new  ePermits system.

  • Current Permits: If you have an active (unexpired) permit with us, follow the instructions to  retrieve your account.
  • New Permits: If you are applying for a new permit and have not recently obtained or applied for a permit with us, follow the instructions on the  ePermits portal for creating a new account.
  • You can also submit your permit application to your regional permit office using a fillable pdf application form.

Thank you for your patience as we transition to our extremely new ePermits system, which was developed and released on an ambitious timeline. We are still in the process of working out some issues. If you have any difficulty with ePermits, please contact ePermits_support@fws.gov.

Due to the number of applications received, please anticipate 30 to 90 days for processing new applications and over 180 days to process renewal applications. Any person holding a valid, renewable permit may continue the activities authorized by the expired permit until the Service acts on the application for renewal if you have requested renewal 30 days prior to the expiration date (See 50 CFR 13.22)
