Proposed 2020-21 Frameworks for Migratory Bird Hunting Regulations Available
We are proposing to establish hunting regulations for certain migratory game birds for the 2020-2021 season. We annually prescribe frameworks, or outer limits, for dates and times when hunting may occur and the number of birds that may be taken and possessed in hunting seasons. These frameworks are necessary to allow State selections of seasons and limits and to allow harvest at levels compatible with migratory game bird population status and habitat conditions. Migratory game bird hunting seasons provide opportunities for recreation and sustenance and aid Federal, State, and Tribal governments in the management of migratory game birds.
We welcome comments through April 20. You can read the rule and comment at www.federalregister.gov/To learn more about how we manage migratory game bird hunting, visit https://www.fws.gov/birds/bird-enthusiasts/hunting.php
