18-Year Old Georgia Student Wins National Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest

Rayen Kang, a student from Johns Creek, Ga., took top honors in the 2018 National Junior Duck Stamp Contest with an acrylic painting of an emperor goose. Kang's painting will be made into the 2018-2019 Junior Duck Stamp, which sells for $5 and supports conservation education.

The winning conservation message, written by Abigail McIntyre, 16, of Manhattan, Kan., was: Conserving our wetlands is as important as conserving our art. It is out history, our inspiration, our life and our future.
