Virginia youth takes top honors at national junior duck stamp contest
A pair of Trumpeter swan was selected to appear on the 2017-2018 Federal Junior Duck Stamp. The design for the new stamp, painted by Isaac Schreiber, 12, of Duffield, VA, was chosen by a panel of judges at the national Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest, held April 21 at Charleston Music Hall in Charleston, S.C.
The stamp featuring Schreiber's design will go on sale in June. Junior Duck Stamps, which sell for $5, raise money for environmental education programs.
