Migratory Bird Conservation Commission Approves $38.8 Million for Wetlands Grants
The Migratory Bird Conservation Commission today approved $17.8 million in funding to conserve more than 108,000 acres of wetlands across the United States, protecting important habitat for waterfowl and other bird species. Nearly $40 million in partner funds will help conserve areas in 14 states. The Commission also approved more than $21 million for 17 projects in Canada and Mexico. NAWCA is the only federal grant program dedicated to the conservation of wetland habitats for migratory birds.
