Western Regional Panel Annual Meeting
Jackson, Wyoming - October 19-21, 2016
The Annual Meeting is hosted by Wyoming Game and Fish Department. Beth Bear of WYGFD will be working to provide the WRP a great meeting.
The Snow King Hotel is the location for the meeting. The hotel is at 400 E Snow King Ave, Jackson WY 83001. http://www.snowking.com

The Snow King is offering WPR meeting participants a rate of $119 plus tax. Included in this rate is shuttle service from the local airport and in room WIFI.
You may book your room online here. Or guests can call the hotel directly at 307.733.5200 and use “Western Regional Panel” as your group code. The last day to book under the group rate is 10/3/2016.

The meeting will be two days of presentations, discussions and the business meeting held on October 19 and 20. On October 19th participants will learn and participate in a variety of presentations and discussions. On October 20th, the WRP will hold their business meeting interspersed with a mix of presentations. On October 21st, participants can enjoy the field trip to local areas exploring regional AIS issues. The meeting will begin at 8 am adjourn at 5 pm on October 19 and 20. The field trip bus will depart from the hotel at 8 am and return to the hotel by early afternoon on October 21. Please plan your flights accordingly to participate and enjoy the entire meeting agenda.
October weather in the Rocky Mountains is beautiful but also comes with cooler temperatures. Being at 6,311 feet elevation means chilly mornings and evenings. So be sure to pack accordingly and include a warm jacket and appropriate footwear.
Transportation from the Airport:
If you are traveling from outside the Jackson area, there are some options to reach the meeting.
The recommended travel option is to fly into Jackson. The Jackson Hole Airport is only 15 minutes from the hotel. Airlines serving Jackson include American, Delta, and United with direct flights from Denver, Salt Lake, Dallas, Houston, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Guests with the Snow King Hotel will receive a free airport shuttle.
Other options could include flying to regional airports and renting a car. If you want more information about these two options, contact the WRP Coordinator.
Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport is 225 miles from the hotel (roughly 4.5 hours scenic drive).
Salt Lake International Airport is 285 miles from the hotel (roughly 4.5 to 5 hour drive).
Local Area Highlights:
Jackson Hole is recognized for the surrounding majestic Teton Mountains, Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, National Elk Refuge and the Snake River. There are many opportunities to enjoy hiking, wildlife watching and other outdoor fun.
