Makah National Fish Hatchery is located along the Tsoo-Yess River on the Makah Indian Reservation on the Washington Coast. Approximatly 7.6 miles from the town of Neah Bay, WA.

  • Hours of Operation


    We are open to the public 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. The facility is closed on weekends and National Holidays..

    The visitor center entry is adjacent to the upper parking lot. Visitors are encouraged to take their time and are free to tour the facility and meet the hatchery staff. Tour groups of all sizes are welcome at any time; large groups are encouraged to schedule a visit by calling the hatchery office (360 645-2521).

  • Driving Directions


    To visit the hatchery, take Cape Flattery Rd from the west end of Neah Bay (rt 120) and head towards Hobuck Beach. Continue on past the famous Shi Shi Beach trailhead to the hatchery at the end of the road.
