For the second year in a row, the Lenape NWR Complex loaned its Reels on Wheels (R.O.W.) Fishing Trailer to Bernardsville Borough Recreation Department to conduct their annual fishing derby at Nervine Pond.

It was held on October 13, 2018, and staff from the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge were there to help out! Despite the cold and rain, 65 youngsters participated and the fish cooperated as well. Trout, bass, and sunfish were all caught from the first minute to the last. Refuge personnel measured fish, loaned out fishing poles, and gave away free tackle.
