The Monarch Joint Venture gathered together leaders in monarch conservation from across the North American monarch range, including state, non-profit, and Service and other federal leaders. This two-day meeting took place at the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge and included more than 40 participants. The latest information on monarch conservation and science was discussed and working groups assisted in editing the monarch conservation plan. Members of these groups worked on several implementation areas, including monarch habitat conservation, monarch education and outreach and research and monitoring.
