Coastal Program staff from the Corpus Christi Ecological Service Field Office modified an existing agreement with the Friends of Aransas and Matagorda Island National Wildlife Refuges to add an additional $24,000 to the agreement.  The modification will allow for the installation of two 36-inch culverts to restore tidal circulation to 217 acres of salt marsh.  The culvert project is located in Sand Lake on Matagorda Island NWR.
