Print Friendly Version

On February 11th, 2006 OC Trujillo attended the Socorro Community Arts Party. Ms Trujillo staffed a booth describing the Junior Duck Stamp program and providing children the opportunity to create entries for the contest. Approximately 65 entries were received. Other students gathered information on the program and contest regulations to use at a later date.

The Community Arts Party is and annual event that attracts about 600 parents and children for a day of hands-on creative opportunities. In addition to drawing waterfowl, young artists can try their hands at pottery, weaving, paper crafts and a wide variety of other arts and crafts. The event is free and sponsored by the Socorro Arts Council.
