The Corpus Christi Ecological Services Field Office (CCESFO) hosted the Texas Gulf Coast Ecosystem Team meeting on January 25, 2005 on the campus of Texas A & M University -Corpus Christi(TAMU-CC). The meeting theme centered on using partnerships to accomplish FWS goals along the Texas coast. Meeting highlights were presentations by guest speakers that included Dr. Jim Grace, USGS-Lafayette, Dr. Jim Bergan, the Nature Conservancy, Dr. Liz Smith, TAMU-CC's Center for Coastal Studies, Barry Wilson, FWS-Gulf Coast Joint Venture, Ernesto Reyes, FWS, and Beau Hardegree, FWS. Discussions focused on past successes and how to tap into available expertise and potential funding opportunities, as well as identifying mutual benefits to partners from these relationships.
