ANCHORAGE- And The Crowd Went Wild
Alaska Region, October 19, 2004
Print Friendly Version
?And the crowd went wild?, so to speak, as renowned freelance nature photographer, Karen Hollingsworth presented her program ?Let's Go Wild!? to over 75 participants at the Anchorage National Wildlife Refuge Week celebration at Title Wave Books, in Anchorage, on October 19th.

The event ?Let's Go Wild!? was a visual and inspiring journey, set to music, celebrating wildlife conservation on national wildlife refuges in America. The program explored the amazing diversity of habitats and species found within the Refuge System through images from more than 70 refuges throughout our Nation. The presentation was representative of the 19 years that Karen has spent photographing wildlife and wild places on national wildlife refuges.

As Karen put it ?there is no other system of lands in the world that is so large or dedicated to wildlife and their conservation as the national wildlife refuge system? simply no where else.? The event was made possible through partnering with Title Wave Books, a local independent bookstore, the host location and Alaska Natural History Association who provided refreshments for the event.

If you missed Karen Hollingworth's "Let's Go Wild!" presentation you still have time to catch it at Alaska Maritime Refuge in Homer on October 21 and at Kenai Refuge in Soldotna on October 22.
