Sacramento, California— On February 27, 2023, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service reopened a 30-day public comment period on its October 2022 proposal to list the San Francisco Bay-Delta longfin smelt. The reopening allows the Service to hold a public hearing as requested by partners for new comments and information to be submitted on the proposed rule.
The virtual public hearing will take place March 14, 2023, from 5 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
