Training Available

The Service has produced a five-part series of live broadcasts to provide training on the voluntary Land-Based Wind Energy Guidelines, and other topics related to wind energy. These broadcasts were recorded and are available online. The Service encourages using these videos and accompanying materials for training on an individual basis, or in group settings. For guidance on how to best incorporate these materials into a training session, or to provide topic suggestions for future broadcasts, please email windbroadcast@fws.gov.

Final Land-Based Wind Energy Guidelines

The Department of the Interior today released guidelines designed to help wind energy project developers avoid and minimize impacts of land-based wind projects on wildlife and their habitats. The voluntary guidelines will help shape the smart siting, design and operation of the nation's growing wind energy economy.
