The planning team for the Willamette Valley CCPs has generated a set of nine preliminary issues that we will thoroughly consider as we develop the CCP. We invite you to review our background summaries of each of these issues. In doing so, you'll learn a great deal about the refuge and its biological and other resources. We hope that you'll let us know your thoughts and concerns about these, and also that you'll submit any additional topics that you feel should be addressed in the CCP. We will analyze your suggestions and determine the final set of significant issues that we will cover in the CCP. Click on the links below to learn more about each of the preliminary issues: 1) The Role of the Willamette Valley Refuges in Wintering Geese Habitat 2) Restoration and Maintenance of Native Habitats of the Willamette Valley 3) Maintenance and Recovery of Listed and Rare Species 4) Management of Roosevelt Elk on William L. Finley Refuge 5) Water and Wetland Management 6) Providing Compatible and Sustainable Wildlife-Dependent Recreation for Public Enjoyment 7) Maintaining Historical Properties at the Refuges 9) Maintaining On-going Refuge Programs and Commitments in an Era of Tight Budgets |
