Outreach activities within the Service are to promote interaction with other federal agencies, States, Tribes, and the public. Outreach for the Fish Health Program encourages the formation of teams and partnerships to promote information gathering and transfer for ourselves, our teams, and partners.
Outreach efforts will promote interdisciplinary approaches and perspectives that will encourage innovative solutions to resource problems. Outreach will increase our expertise and effectiveness through team effort. Outreach allows the Fish Health Program to provide greater training opportunities to our partners and for ourselves.
Outreach will promote the flow of information to hatchery managers, resource biologists, States, Tribes, and the public that will improve data collection and analysis. Outreach will also increase the participation of teams and partners to provide enhanced capabilities for solving resource problems. Better information and interdisciplinary approaches will provide resource managers greater alternatives to make decisions that will increase survival and productivity for the resource and the commercial sector.
